Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, software development kits (SDKs), local storage, and session-recording scripts (collectively, “Trackers”). We and our service providers use Trackers to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and personalize content.
2. Categories of Trackers we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
Required to operate the site (e.g., remember that you have accepted the cookie banner, route requests, prevent cross-site request forgery). You cannot opt out of strictly necessary Trackers and still use the site.
2.2 Functional
Remember your language preference (English / Spanish), accessibility settings, and similar preferences. Stored locally in your browser via localStorage under the key kornugle.lang. Reject these and the site will reset to defaults each visit.
2.3 Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (page views, time on page, clicks, referrer). We may use first-party analytics or a third-party provider. Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
2.4 Marketing / advertising
Help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns and show relevant ads on other platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, X). These Trackers may share information with the advertising platform.
2.5 Session recording
We may record your interaction with the site (mouse movements, clicks, form interactions, scroll depth, page snapshots) for product improvement and security purposes. By visiting the site, you acknowledge and consent to such recording. You may opt out by rejecting non-essential cookies in the banner.
3. Your choices
- Cookie banner. On your first visit you will see a banner. Click Accept all to consent to all Trackers, or Reject non-essential to limit us to strictly necessary Trackers.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends the
Sec-GPC: 1header, we treat that as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing under CCPA / CPRA for California, Colorado, Connecticut, and New Jersey residents. GPC is automatically detected; you do not need to take any additional action. - Browser controls. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through settings. Refer to your browser's documentation. Refusing all cookies may break parts of the site.
- Do Not Sell or Share. California, Colorado, Connecticut, and New Jersey residents may opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information by contacting privacy@kornugle.ai. We honor GPC as an automatic opt-out signal.
4. Third parties
Some Trackers are set by third parties (analytics providers, advertising networks, content delivery networks). These third parties have their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
5. Retention
Cookies have varying lifetimes. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for the period set by the cookie (typically up to 13 months for analytics; up to 24 months for advertising). You may delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
6. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
